Undergraduate Research
The Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics distinguishes itself in the amount of its students that participate in undergraduate research. Research is an integral component in progressing science. Thus, the MMG Department encourages and supports all of its undergrads willing to make a difference.

How to get involved:

Research your interests (e.g. virology, bacteriology, cancer, etc.)

Look up on the faculty list professors whose research interests peak your own

Contact those faculty through email indicating you are interested in working in their lab

Be sure to be professional in your email and include any qualifications you have towards being a strong student
